Hi, I'm Kryssa...

Art has always been a part of my life.

How it's been a part of my life has changed many times, but it's always a constant for me.

Especially in a school environment to staying alive or by integrating it into every professional setting I am in.

Somehow I got my BEd, had a baby during my last year of university and became a teacher all before the age of 26. I majored in art, minored in spanish, and was skillful in the art of showing up and figuring it out.

That's how I lived my life. Always feeling behind and never catching up, or on the flip side, being way ahead of the curve and waiting for other's to catch up.

I have now learnt that my undiagnosed ADHD, Autism, CPTSD and numerous neglected medical diagnosis played a part in that. As my responsibilities piled up at work and at home with two young kids, I burnt out and lost a lot of functioning. So I started to make art for myself again...once I gained the energy to get out of bed and the kitchen floor. It took me almost three years to gain back about 50% of my functioning.

I still have more to figure out, but I finally have some motivation to match my passion. I am using my creativity to pull myself foreword and start the activation process of turning my ideas that have been brewing the last 3 years, into something I can tangibly grasp and out of my head.

My artwork consists of multiple medias, themes, concepts and subject matter.

You will see past, present and future art pieces and concepts I've either had stowed away or hanging up on my walls or hidden in my brain. It won't be for everyone but it works for me. I use my creativity as an outlet for my emotions, feelings and thoughts. Using art as a tool for my creative outlet to process information is how I operate best. It is often personal and many have even said "I don't get it" when looking at my early original art work. Maybe one day I will post some of my "weirder" Artwork. I still have much of it hanging up on the walls in my own home. Keep an eye out for Paintings and Art work from "The Basement Vault."

Since I have a blog, I won't keep this too long.

Feel free to check out the post I do have up. Another is coming soon.

Talk to you soon,

KmjK
